Typewriter Keys

Before KK Clear, I got hooked on plain language while working at March of Dimes, a national nonprofit organization that fights for the health of moms and babies. For 20+ years we used plain language and clear communication strategies to create health education messaging and content to help women have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. Health action sheets

Past Work

Infographics are plain language at its finest. They condense complex health information into short

key messages that are clear and actionable.

Print pieces

For those who like a printed piece....they're still here! Even in today's digital world, there's a place for main messages in print.

Short videos offer content in an engaging format.

Guides and toolkits

These assets help professionals teach patients about prenatal care, newborn care, and healthcare between pregnancies.

  • Group prenatal care getting started guide. This guide enables health care providers to incorporate a new model of prenatal care into their practices.

  • IMPLICIT toolkit. This manual guides health care providers on implementing an evidence-based interconception intervention into their practices to help reduce the incidence of premature birth in a woman's subsequent pregnancy.

  • Becoming a mom/Comenzando bien. This bilingual curriculum is designed for use in a group setting where women learn about having a healthy pregnancy and caring for a newborn. Lesson plans allow non-medical professionals to facilitate sessions. Participant handouts are easy to read.
